About this event
Dublin's own Gerard Byrne, renowned for his revival of the Impressionist and plein-air traditions in Ireland, has spent nearly four decades painting professionally. Elevating the ordinary into something extraordinary, his practice spans industrial structures and working ports, flowers in Spring light, bold figures, city streets, coastlines, and distant places—all observed with the same care. This exhibition brings together the full range of his work: world-class painting, celebrating its own roots. It also marks the opening of Gerard Byrne Gallery's new Trinity Street home, after a standout year in New York.
